Serving Humanity with Love & Compassion

BHRC INDIA supports and aligns with the NHRC’s objectives, raising cases, spreading awareness, and empowering communities at the grassroots level. The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) was established under the Protection of Human Rights Act, 1993. It investigates human rights violations by public authorities, recommends compensation, and promotes awareness and education. Each state may also have a State Human Rights Commission (SHRC) to deal with regional human rights issues.
BHRC INDIA is a charitable trust and not a government body. We assist in raising awareness and supporting human rights causes but do not have enforcement powers like NHRC. All services are non-commercial and voluntary.

What Are Human Rights ?

Human Rights are the basic rights and freedoms that belong to every individual simply because they are human. These rights ensure that all people are treated with dignity, equality, and respect, regardless of their nationality, religion, caste, gender, or background. Human rights include the right to life, liberty, education, health, freedom of expression, and protection from abuse, exploitation, and discrimination.
They are universal, inalienable, and guaranteed by national constitutions like the Constitution of India, as well as international agreements such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). Upholding human rights is essential to building a just, peaceful, and inclusive society where every individual has the opportunity to live with freedom and dignity.

Together, We Can Make India a Safer, Juster Place.
